Particularity of the delivery format– Trauma informed Care

The specificity of that program is the Trauma Sensitive model.
The program is deliver in an easy to access, open and non-judgmental way and its particularity is trauma-informed approach which recognize that each of us could have been subject to trauma, as research showed that an estimated of 90% of the population has been exposed directly or indirectly to a traumatic event at one point in their life.

The mindfulness and meditation technics are always addressed in the window of tolerance of the participants.

In other words, they are delivered in a sensitive and inclusive manner that allows individuals of all types of experiences to participate comfortably and grow.

Structure of the programme

Attendees will learn the principles of mindfulness practice and acquire practical tools to manage pain in a supportive and welcoming environment. The 13-week program consists of two-hour half weekly classes where students participate in mindfulness-based activities, meditation, brief talks, group discussion and questions-answers period. Over the course of the program, students will learn about the fundamentals of mindfulness practice; ways to enhance self-care and compassion and how to bring more awareness to the behaviors that compound pain suffering. Research shows that participants in MBCPM can decrease their pain and reduce reliance prescription medication.

Laurent Caille is an osteopath with 22 years experience, and a special focus on chronic pain management. He has taught osteopathy in France and Quebec and has been practicing mindfulness meditation for 35 years – fifteen of these as a Buddhist monk. He is a qualified MBCPM™ facilitator, certified by the University of Toronto with Dr Jackie Gardner-Nix.
